Who is WAWI?
The Wildlife and Animal Welfare Institute is headed by Dr. Erica Ward, a veterinarian who lives in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We aspire to help elephants and other wild and domestic animals of Thailand and around the globe through research, outreach, and free medical care.
After years in Thailand, we are accustomed to working with local partners to accomplish research, outreach clinics, and medical assistance and support. If you'd like to work with us toward these goals, please be in touch!
National Pre-Vet Club

In the fall of 2022, we launched the National Pre-Vet Club as a way to help demystify and diversify the path to vet school. The National Pre-Vet Club is online, free, and open to anyone. NPVC has a monthly meeting via Instagram (@NationalPreVetClub) during the school year - anyone can join.
